What inspired me to run for mayor is simple: I love Inglewood, and I believe our residents deserve a city government that works for them. Inglewood is not just where I live—it is home. I am a third-generation Inglewood resident, raised by a family that taught me the value of faith, hard work, service, and accountability to the community. Today, I am raising my five-year-old daughter on those same streets. I want her to inherit an Inglewood that is stronger, fairer, and full of opportunity. As a small business owner, I have experienced both economic prosperity and hardship, and I understand the challenges that entrepreneurs face. I have also seen how government processes can discourage people who are simply trying to build something for their families or invest in their community. That is why my vision is built around three priorities: empowering our youth, strengthening neighborhood businesses, and creating accountable leadership. Our young people deserve more than a seat at the table—they deserve meaningful opportunities to lead, learn, and build their futures here. And for young adults and working families who want to stay in the community they grew up in, we should be creating pathways that make it possible to put down roots, build equity, and eventually call a place of their own home. Our neighborhood businesses also deserve a city government that understands that time is money. When a homeowner can wait months for a permit or a small business owner can spend more than a year paying rent while navigating approvals, those delays have real consequences. Government should be a partner in helping people turn their ideas into reality—not an unnecessary barrier. Finally, I believe leadership must be accountable to the people. Term limits can help bring fresh energy, new ideas, and a renewed sense of responsibility to City Hall. Residents should feel that their voices matter and that their government is responsive to their needs. I am running because I believe Inglewood can do better while preserving what makes our city special. We can create more opportunities for our young people, make it easier for local businesses to thrive, help families build a future here, and ensure our leadership remains accountable. My ultimate duty is to the people who raised me, the families raising their children here today, the small business owners taking risks, and the young people who deserve to believe there is a future for them in their own community. I am running to protect the Soul of Inglewood—and to build a city where every resident has a real stake in our future.

I want to create real leadership opportunities, mentorship, career pathways, and opportunities for young residents to participate in shaping their community. We should give our youth reasons to believe they can build a successful future right here in Inglewood.
Inglewood should be a place where entrepreneurs can open their doors and grow—not spend months or years navigating unnecessary delays. I want to streamline permitting and approval processes, improve coordination between city departments, and make City Hall more responsive to local business owners. When small businesses succeed, our neighborhoods become stronger.
Young renters and working families should have a realistic path to building a future in the community they call home. I want to explore practical ways the city can encourage housing opportunities, homeownership, and pathways to building equity so that the next generation isn't forced to leave Inglewood simply because they cannot afford to stay.
Residents deserve a city government that is transparent, responsive, and accountable for how it uses taxpayer dollars. I support term limits and stronger accountability measures, along with greater transparency around major spending decisions, long-term financial commitments, and large public projects. Before asking residents to take on additional costs, City Hall should clearly demonstrate where existing resources are going and what results residents are receiving.
